Original Description

Robust two-segmented shell. First segment (cephalis) somewhat smaller than the second (thorax). Lower part of first segment included within the second segment due to the thickness of the second segment wall (bulging part ?). Thorax gradually widening and closed in adult specimens. External differentiation of both segments difficult to observe. Shell walls perforated by numerous rounded pores, shell surface rough with numerous additional spines or horns. Internal skeleton composed of the usual bars, typical of Nassellaria (MB, A, Vert, D, Lr, Ll, Ax). All bars well-differentiated and relativement thick. A and Vert produce cephalic horns that are not clearly distinguished from secundary spines or horns. D, Lr and Ll are linked to the thoracic wall at internally invaginated areas, giving thus a trilobated shape to the thorax. Lr and Ll are symmetrically distributed on both sides of MB, not at all as in Lithomelissa. Axobate very long and rough.
