Original Description
Plain, flangeless, test-tube-shaped shell having a length of 3 times its breadth; apical end subsymmetrically rounded, with a slight hyaline caplike top, the remainder of the shell generally cylindrical, a little contracted in its middle (but without transverse band); simple circular aperture minutely denticulated; wall uniformly thin; pores very closely set so that the surface resembles a net; generally the pores are similarly circular and of about the same size, in regular transverse rows of about 20 pores in a row in the cylindrical part.

Size: Total length 120µm; breadth 40µm; diameter of pores 4.4µm.

Distinguishing features: The shell of this new species is tubular, while that of other species is either ovate or urceolate. It has a form similar to that of Tricolocampe cylindrica Haeckel (1887, pl.66, fig.21) but does not have the shell subdivided by transverse bands into segm
