Original Description

Acrobotrusidae mit zwei (?) oder mehrfach geteiltem Kopf und vielen Stacheln. Außer den Urstacheln, von denen wahrscheinlich A, D, Lr, Ll, V vorhanden sind und frei ausstrahlen, sind auf der außeren Schale noch sekundare Stacheln angebracht.

Botryodee, deren Stacheln oder Tuben als Grundlage den Stephanium (Verticillata-) Typ (Textfig. 2), d. h. ein Stachelgerüst mit Mittelbalken und den Stacheln A, D, Lr, Ll, V, Vert und Ring haben. Von diesen Tuben können einer, mehrere oder alle rückgebildet werden.
