Original Description
Die kugelförmig äussere Gitterschale ist mit der zweiten, die halb so gross ist, durch 8 Querbalken verbunden, die nach aussen als Stacheln fortsetzen. Die innerste Schale nich ganz halb so gross wie die zweite.
[Cortical globular shell linked with the second shell, that is half its size, by 8 beams which protrude outside as spines. Medullary shell not as wide as half the second shell. (Translation from German by J.P.C.)]

Cortical shell 93µm, its pores 3µm, second shell 47µm, its pores 1.5µm, medullary shell 20µm. Length of spines 17µm.
Rare. Distinguishing characters (rw): Mostly characterised by the 8 radial beams and spines.
