Outer medullary shell polygonal with small circular pores, connected to cortical shell by six three-bladed spines aligned in three perpendicular axes, and extending outside as large three-bladed primary spines. Cortical shell spherical or subcubical when viewed along one of the spines, with large (27-36µ) circular pores of uniform size. An additional eight large three-bladed secondary spines arise from the cortical shell.
(Based on 25 specimens) Length of the spines 45-90µm. Diameter of the cortical shell 125-153µm,of the outer medullary shell 45-63µm, and of the inner medullary shell 18-27µm. Distinguishing characters (rw): This species differs from other members of this genus in having large three-bladed primary and secondary spines.
