Original Description
Die Durchmesser der drei Gitterkugeln verhalten sich wie 1: 3: 8, und werden dieselben durch 4 innere Querbalken verbunden, die nach aussen sich in starke vierkantige, fast so lange Stacheln als der Durchmesser der Rindenschale, verlängern. Die Gitterlöcher ungefähr 1/18 des Durchmessers der Rindenschale, mit ebenso breiten Zwischenbalken.
[Diameters of the three globular shells are in the proportions 1: 3: 8. Shells linked by 4 inner radial beams which are protruding outside as stout, four-sided spines as long as the diameter of the cortical shell. Pores 1/18 of the diameter of the cortical shell with bars of the same dimensions. (Translation from German by J.P.C.)]

Diameter of cortical shell 106µm, pores 6µm, median shell 30µm, medullary shell 13µm. Length of spines 60µm, basal width 16µm.
Abundant. Distinguishing characters (rw): Es ähnelt diese Form sehr der Haliomma tetracanthum Ehr., wie sie in der Abhandlung 1872 Taf. X. 7 abgebildet ist, doch hat diese nur 2 Gitterkugeln und längere Stacheln, wie grössere Maschen.
[This form looks very similar to Haliomma tetracanthum Ehr., which is figured in his memoir of 1872, pl. X, fig. 7; but has only two globular shells, longer spines, and larger pores.]
