Original Description
[Diameters of the three globular shells are in the proportions 1: 3: 8. Shells linked by 4 inner radial beams which are protruding outside as stout, four-sided spines as long as the diameter of the cortical shell. Pores 1/18 of the diameter of the cortical shell with bars of the same dimensions. (Translation from German by J.P.C.)]
Diameter of cortical shell 106µm, pores 6µm, median shell 30µm, medullary shell 13µm. Length of spines 60µm, basal width 16µm.
Abundant.
[This form looks very similar to Haliomma tetracanthum Ehr., which is figured in his memoir of 1872, pl. X, fig. 7; but has only two globular shells, longer spines, and larger pores.]
