Original Description
testa hispida ovato-oblonga utrinque subbispinosa, ad Salpae solitariae formam accedente, poris magnis rotundis impressis marginibus promiuulis superficiem hispidam reddentibus. Long. 1/23\’ Lat. 1/38\"’, cum spinis 1/14\"’. Pori in aequales in seriebus obliquis 7-8, in linea transversa 6.

Translation: [Test bristly, ovate-oblong, with almost 2 spines at each end, approaching the form of a solitary salp; large, round pores with rather prominent margins which produce the bristly surface. Length 98 µ. Breadth 59 µ, with spines 160 µ. Unequal pores, 7-8 in an oblique row, 6 in a transverse line. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]"
