Original Description
Both arms different in size; the larger one and a half times as long and broad as the smaller. Both arms triangular, forked at the broader distal end, with two very strong, conical, divergent, straight terminal spines. Patagium broad, incomplete, with circular perimeter.

Radius of the larger arm (including the spines) 240µm, of the smaller 160µm; distance of the terminal points of the former 180µm, of the latter 90µm; diameter of the patagium 200µm.

Etymology: Called in honour of my friend Dr. John Murray.

Editors' Notes
Haeckel listed Amphicraspedum murrayanum under the subgeneric name Amphicraspedula, but did not include the subgeneric name in the species name.
