Original Description
Cephalis small, campanulate, conical, with a single very large conical central horn, and numerous smaller accessory spines. Thorax in form and structure similar to that of the three preceding species, but much flatter, being nearly discoidal. The meshes of the network are smaller and more numerous, irregularly polygonal, and the nine basal holes little larger. Collar septum with four large meshes (as in Pl. 60, fig. 6).

Cephalis 0.25 long, 0.3 broad; thorax 0.04 long, 0.24 broad.

Editors' Notes
There was no illustration of this species in Haeckel (1887)
Haeckel listed Arachnocorys arachnodiscus under the subgeneric name Arachnocoronium, but did not include the subgeneric name in the species name.

In the description the "three preceding species" refers to Arachnocorys circumtexta, A. enneaptera and A. araneosa in Haeckel, 1887a. The species illustrated on pl.60, fig.6 is Dictyophimus brandtii.
