Original description: (23-articul.), capitulo parum discreto, aculeis crassis lateralibus duobus armato laevi aut basi subacuto. Art II ovato-oblongus poris raris parvis perforatus. Art III angustior cylindricus truncatus imperforatus. Ne pro Lithopera habeatur.
Translated description: [2 - 3-segmented, the cephalis not markedly distinct, armed with 2 thick; lateral spines, the cephalis smooth or subacute at the base. Second segment ovate-oblong, perforated by sparse, small pores. Third segment narrower, cylindrical, truncate, imperforate. It should not be regarded as a Lithopera. Haeckel 1887 - Eucyrtidium biauritum

Shell smooth, with two distinct strictures. Length of the three joints= 1:6:3, breadth= 2:5:4. Cephalis small, hemispherical, hyaline, with two large, divergent, curved horns of three times the length. Thorax ovate, with few small, widely scattered pores. Abdomen cylindrical, without pores.

Dimensions: Length of the three joints, a 0.015, b 0.06, c 0.03; breadth, a 0.02, b 0.05, c 0.04.
