Original description: Polycystinum solitarium e Lithochytrinis. Loricae siliceae cylindricae articulatae cellulosae alter finis (inferior) simpliciter clausus, alter sublobatus; Cellae lobulares in uvae brevis irregularis spiraeve formam dispositae. Articuli ultra duo.
Lithobotrys genus duobus articulis definitur.
Translated description: Solitary polycystin, of the Lithochytrinae. Siliceous, cylindrical, segmented, porous shell, one end (the lower end) simply closed, the other sublobate. Lobate chambers arranged in the form of a short, irregular cluster of grapes, or spirally. 2 additional segments.
