Original Description

Generally conical (50° in upper part, later 30° thence, reduced inverted, to 18°) shell having but little significant changes in contour at the levels of the shell-divisions or between them; having a short (less than 0.2 total length), often tipped, 3-bladed, prismatic pointed apical horn fused basally with the top of the obscured conical cephalis (length about the same as that of the horn); cephalis and thorax conical in continued contour; waist line marked by a narrow, transverse, internal band and with but little local constriction; abdomen inverted, truncate-conical; oral margin ragged (torn?); pores of all 3 shell-divisions similarly circular to elliptical, generally of about the same size, without raised polygonal frames but within individual concave areas.

Size:
Total length 175-186µm.

Etymology:
No information given

Extra details from original publication
Distinguishing features: Our second shell (pl.6, fig.20) differs from the first one (pl.6, fig.13) in aberrant cephalis, tilted waist line, different pores, and in local modifications of contour. It is assigned to the present species with some doubt and may be some abnormal form
