Original Description

Lorica leviter campanulata subdisciformi, tenui, eleganter dense radiata, zonis subtilissimis concentricis in telae Araneae modum cellulosa, apertura centrali parva rotunda interne tripartita, radiis 8-9 fortioribus ab apertura incipientibus, reliquis sensim brevioribus, fere 63. Diameter 1/20\’. Radioli in margine inaequali irregulariter producti. Semel a vertice observatum et servatum.

Translation:
[Shell subdiscoidal, slightly campanulate, delicate, elegantly and densely radiate, pores with very fine concentric zones in the manner of a spider's web; small, round central aperture, internally tripartite; 8-9 stronger radii begin at the aperture, the remainder gradually shorter, approximately 63. Diameter 115 µ. The radii are unequally and irregularly produced at the margin. Only one specimen, observed from the apex, is preserved. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]"
