Original Description
4a. Tribus: Cromyosphaerida. Tetrasphaeria anacantha (testae globosa, superficie externa laevi aut aspera, sed non spinosa).
A. poris externis regularibus hexagonis.

Translation: 4a. Tribe: Cromyosphaerida. Tetrasphaeria without spines (the external surface of the globose test smooth or rough, but not spiny).
A. With external pores regular, hexagonal. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]

Etymology: From the Greek cromyosphaera = onion-sphere"
