Original Description
lorica campanulata ter constricta; capitulo subgloboso aculeato, strictura a collo tumidulo discreto, ventre magis tumente, marginis limbo plano, poris maximis in series decussatas dispositis. Habitus Pterocodonis Davisiani sine aculeis colli. Long 1/24 \’ (capit 1/110\"’, colli 1/84\"’, ventris 1/48\"’). Lat. limbi 1/31\"’.
QTCycladophoras ab Eucyrtidiis differre censeo capituli divisione nunquam quaternaria et loricae fine esplanato, nunquam connivente. Capitis pori sparsi varii. In collo series 4. Ventris pororum maximorum series 3, in quavis serie 4-5 pori simul conspicui.

Translation: [Shell campanulate, constricted 3 times; cephalis subglobose with a spine, separated from the slightly swollen neck[thorax] by a stricture; abdomen more swollen, with a flat edge of the margin; very large pores arranged in decussate rows. Similar to Pterocodon davisiana without collar spines. Length 94 µ (cephalis 20 µ, neck 27 µ, abdomen 47 µ). Breadth at the edge 72 µ.

Size: I believe that Cycladophora differs from Eucyrtidium in that the cephalis is never divided into four, and the shell is expanded terminally, never contracted. Pores of the cephalis sparse and variet. Four rows in the collar [thorax] . Three rows of very large pores in the abdomen, with 4-5 pores visible at one time in each row. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]"
