Original Description
[Regular urn-shaped shell 1½ as long as wide; upper part of the shell nearly conical gradually ending in the inferior circular opening. Pores big, as wide as 1/6 of the shell diameter near the base of the shell; bars approximately of the same width. Pores distributed in irregular alternating longitudinal rows of 6-7 pores. The specimen figured with a broken opening is so close to Cyrtocalpis amphora Haeckel, that I had previously put it in this species, however the distribution of the pores is different. (Translation from German by J.P.C.)]

Length of the shell 90µm, maximum breadth 60µm, basal opening 34µm, pores 6-8µm, bars 6µm.
Not rare.
