Original description: Sagittal ring D-shaped, joined directly to the back of lattice shell. Basal and sagittal rings constricted indistinctly. Thorax subcylindrical with a slight constriction at mouth. Six basal pores separated by two primary and two secondary lateral bars. Pores circular to sub-circular, small. densely spaced on the cephalis, less densely spaced on the thorax. Shell bearing small conical spines at apex of cephalis in some specimens, terminated by teeth of irregular sizes.

(Dimensions based on 10 specimens) Width of cephalis 126-153µm, width of thorax 108-150µm. Length of cephalis 90-118µm. Length of thorax 54-92µm. Distinguishing characters (rw): This species differs from other members of this genus in having small, densely spaced pores, and a flatter and wider shell.
