Lorica laxe et irregulariter cellulosa (cellulis in 1/100''' 4--5.) undique aculeis raris validis armata, articulis duobus tribusve constans, primo parvo subgloboso, aculeo recto terminate, reliquis turgidis amplis. Long. 1/36"'.
[Shell broad and irregularly porous (4-5 pores in 23m), provided with sparse strong spines on all sides; with always 2 or 3 segments, the first small and subglobose with a straight terminal spine, the others wide and swollen. Length 62m. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
