Original description: Lenticular cortical shell with short, broad marginal spines. Cortical shell with thick wall, smooth surface, and numerous. small, cylindrical pores, with broad. delta-shaped. radially striated spines (usually six in number) arising as extensions of the margin. Medullary shell double.
