Original Description
Polycystynum compositum ex Haliommatinis. Testae siliceae subglobosae membrana cellulose nucleo celluloso instructa. Membrana externa saepe imperfecta aut dehiscens ita, ut saepius utrinque bifida inveniatur.

Translation: [Schizomma. Composite polycystin of the Haliommatinae. Siliceous, subglobose tests with a porous membrane and a porous nucleus. External membrane often imperfect or split, so that it appears bifid on both sides. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
