Shell small, generally similar to S. principii longispina n. subsp. save in the character of the apical horn which has a length of 0.06 as against 0.4 total length in the latter.
Length of shell, 130µm; of horn, 15µm; of cephalis, 23.2µm; diameter of widest part of thorax, 110µm; of pores, 10µm. Distinguishing characters (rw): Sethocyrtis principii principii n. subsp. differs from S. principii longispina n. subsp. mainly in the character of the apical horn.
