Original Description
Structure de la capsule centrale assez voisine de celle de Stigmosphaera cruciata, mais axoplaste sphérique. Des Xanthelles.
[Lattice cortical shell (d=200µm), with circular, or ovoid, pores, of variable size and with thick hexagonal frames. Shell surface covered by long spines (nearly 70µm) originating from nodal points. These spines are straight, or more or less curved, and mostly simple, but sometimes bifurcate and with small teeth. 11 radial beams similar to the spines. We place in this species a specimen with a thin shell and short spines that is probably a juvenile form (pl.43, fig.2). Central capsule with a structure close to that of Stigmosphaera cruciata, but with a spherical axoplast. Xanthellae. (In French, translated by J.P.C.)]
