Extra details from original publication
The asterisk following the generic name indicates that Haeckel believed this to be a new genus in 1881a. Although Haeckel here evidently meant to define two genera, and his use of the same name twice is evidently an error, the fact that he defined this and related genera differently in 1887a makes it impossible to know how to correct the error.
