Nassellaria which possess a saggital ring ('D-ring') structure, which divides the cephalic
lattice wall (present in most species) into left and right lateral lobes. The saggital ring is formed by
the primary nassellarian spicules of median bar at the base, a straight upwards pointing apical spine,
a lateral upwards pointing vertical spine, and an curved arch joining them near the apex of the
skeleton.
