Original Description Skelet besteht aus zwei gleichen, einfachen, glatten oder mit Zacken und Aesten besetzten Kieselringen, welche in der Art verbunden sind, dass ihre beiden Ebenen sich gegenseitig halbiren und senkrecht auf einander stehen.
Translation: Skeleton constituted by two similar siliceous rings, that are simple, smooth or ornated with spines, and linked in the species so that both of them are mutually separated into two equal parts and are perpendicular to each other.
