Original description: "very small, triserial, with globular chambers, 3-4 chambers in each series, widening evenly toward the apertural end, so that the maximum width of the test is attained in the last three chambers. Sometimes a slight curvature of the spire may be noted with growth of the test. Aperture large, gaping, situated at the base of the inner edge of the final chamber. Surface of the test does not differ in any respect from that of other calcareous forms found with it in the sections studied."

Entries in the Catalog of original descriptions: Guembelina cenomana, Guembelitria harrisi, Guembelitriella graysonensis, Guembelitria kegeli
