Distinguishing features: Large, blocky, with steep-walled rim and domed upper surface. Only known from LM side view

Morphology: Large, blocky coccolith seen in side view, with steep-walled rim and domed upper surface.
Differentiation: Similar in overall shape to Semihololithus biskayae but has a more irregular appearance, lower birefringence image and blockier upper cover. [Bown & Newsam 2017]
Size: Holotype L = 6.6μm, H = 6.5μm (Paratype L = 6.6μm, H = 6.8μm).
