Taxonomic discussion: Has been assigned to Theoperidae, here assigned to Lophophaenidae following new classification being developed by Suzuki & co-workers

Note some specimens of Lipmanella currently assigned inconsistently to different species in the db - e.g. L. bombus and tribranchiata. - dbl 22.8.24
