Original Description
QTSagittal ring D-shaped, separated from the lattice shell except for a shorter or greater distance above the vertical spine. Apical bar straight, joined to the lattice-shell by one or two pairs of bars. Apical part of sagittal ring connected with lattice shell by shorter or longer bars, or rarely joined to it directly. Primary and secondary lateral bars. and dorsal bar, well developed. Some specimens have a poorly developed apical spine, and others have a tuft of short thorns apically. but usually the shell surface is completely smooth, vertical pore distinct.QTLattice shell thick, with sparse, small. circular pores tending to be tubular. Peristome a poreless band, from which arise approximately 15 flat, parallel lamellar teeth.
