Original Description

Dipylissinae n. subfam. Dumitrica, 1988, p. 188: Pyloniidae with systems of two single-capped latticed girdles disposed face to face along the sagittal axis and rotated 90° to one another. Microsphere with dorsal sagittal beam.

Ovoidal skeleton with two to three systems.

Etymology:
From the Greek di: twice and pyle:gates. Feminine gender.
