Original Description

Test trochoid, composed of two whorls, ventral side flat or slightly convex, dorsal side constantly strongly convex. The ventral side usually shows three chambers while in some specimens part of the last whorl is also visible. The last chamber is big and occupies almost half the size of the test. Sutures on the ventral side are slightly raised and beaded. On the dorsal side, the sutures are usually slightly raised, beaded and strongly curved. Umbilicus wide, deep and open. Aperture opens into the umbilicus. Keel double.
