Original Description

Diagnosis. A species of Globoturborotalita with four chambers per whorl, entire surface cancellate and covered with short conical spines, and low aperture.
Description. Test small, low-spired, chambers globular. increasing rapidly in size as added, 4 per whorl; sutures straight, deeply incised; wall calcareous, surface cancellate, and ornamented with short conical spines that are somewhat more prominent toward the periphery: aperture a low, interiomarginal arch.

Size:
Greatest diameter of holotype 0.26 mm, thickness 0.13 mm; greatest diameter of paratype 0.38 mm, thickness 0.26 mm.

Etymology:
From the Latin. decus. decoris. ornament, with ref­erence to the ornate surface.

Extra details from original publication
Remarks, Globoturborotalita decorata differs from G. rubescens (Holker) in the more globular chambers, short conical spines, and lower aperture.
